SAND: A finishing process typically applied to chipboard panels (mdf or melamine). After the panel undergoes CNC machining, a coat of white polyester varnish (primer) is applied, followed by several layers of next-generation water-based coloured varnish containing tiny particles (microbeads), which create a pleasant “silk effect” to the touch. The water-based varnishes offer the same resistance as solvent-based alternatives while significantly reducing environmental impact and enhancing health protection for both workers and end consumers.
BRUSHED GLOSSY: The type of substrate and preparation of the panel before finishing are the same as for the Sand lacquer. The finishing process is carried out using robotic systems that ensure an even and accurate application of the product on the panel, preventing colour variations and guaranteeing long-term stability. After the application of the glossy coloured lacquer, the product is left to harden before being sanded again. This process removes any surface impurities or minor defects. The next step involves brushing, using specialised pastes and requiring significant manual skill and expertise from the operators.
