Wood is an “alive” material and therefore does not like an environment that is too humid or excessively dry. Being a natural material it can present slight differences in color and structure without these being considered defects; for the same reason an exposure to light can lead, over time, to slight variations in color or tone.

Attention: do not use alcohol or acetone. Dirt can be cleaned with a wet soft cloth, while the most persistent dirt can be removed with warm water and neutral soap or with domestic detergents as long as they do not contain abrasive particles or acids that can scratch or damage the surface. Immediate removal of stain is recommended. It is also recommended to dry the surfaces after cleaning.

Lacquered finishes are extremely elegant and pleasant to the touch, but they are still delicate surfaces. They must be treated with care, avoiding scratches or bumps and must be cleaned with wet cloths with neutral detergents, free of alcohol. It is also recommended to dry the surfaces after cleaning

Ordinary maintenance: Fenix NTM surfaces shall be cleaned regularly with a microfiber cloth wet with warm water or neutral detergents. Most of the home detergents are suitable for this purpose. Extraordinary maintenance: In the case stains that cannot be removed with home detergents on Fenix NTM surfaces, we recommend the use solvents (not excessively aggressive and / or aromatic) In case of micro-scratches, it is recommended the use the foam sponge, also known as “magic rubber”, that can be provided by Arrital upon request.

Silky surfaces have antibacterial properties according to ISO 22196 (= JIS Z 2801). For cleaning, DO NOT use furniture polish, wax-containing cleaners or emollient plastic cleaners. The use of these products is not recommended, as they tend to create a sticky layer that accumulates dirt on the surface. Be careful not to use alcohol or acetone. Light dirt can be cleaned with a soft cloth moistened with water, while more difficult dirt can be removed with hot water and neutral soap or with detergents on the market for domestic use as long as they do not contain abrasive particles or acids that could scratch or attack the surface. Immediate removal of any type of stain is recommended. It is also recommended to dry the surfaces perfectly after cleaning.
MDi being a non-porous surface it is very easy to clean. It is recommended to quickly clean the stains with a damp cloth, avoiding drying them. Use acidic or alkaline products, depending on the nature of the dirt to be removed. Avoid acidic or alkaline products with high concentration. Before applying any type of product, test in a less visible area to verify that the material does not undergo variations in brilliance or color, let it act 4/5 minutes and rinse thoroughly. It is recommended not to use products with a pH greater than 11 or less than 4. In the case of drying hardening materials (rubber, grease, nail polish, paints, etc.), remove stains by gently scratching with a plastic scraper, softening them in advance with warm water. Clean the surface with a dry cloth and multipurpose cream or multipurpose detergent. In the absence of specific products use a damp cloth for daily cleaning and for the deeper one a neutral detergent or anti-limescale product.

Use a sponge or soft cloth wet with a regular detergent, degreaser or liquid disinfectant, with glass detergent diluted in water or with alcohol diluted in water. After cleaning, rinse and finally dry with a soft and dry cloth. Dont’ use very abrasive products, powder detergents or steel wool that could scratch the surface;
Strong chemical or sanitary products (chlorine, ammonia, acetone, soda, solvents, bleach) or furniture polish and waxes that could cause discoloration; Proximity to heat sources, hot plates or any other heat source to avoid burning, cracking or lifting of the surface.
Clean the surface with warm water and neutral detergents using a damp cloth or soft sponge. When finished, dry with a soft cloth; any other liquids (e.g. perfumes, cosmetics, nail varnish, grease, coffee, food residue or drinks) which come into contact with the marble surfaces must be cleaned immediately, when still fresh because they could cause stains, signs of corrosion and stubborn stains. Avoid placing hot objects directly on the tops because they may heat stains;pouring boiling water in the basin to avoid damaging the adhesives; turn the cold water tap on first;hydro fluoric acid, caustic soda, paint strippers and similar products.
Marbles are natural rocks, formed by calcium carbonates, silicon, iron and other minerals: their combination determines chromatic and structural varieties, piece by piece. Shade differences, even marked, compared to the sample, small holes, grouting, more or less marked veins or stains are a characteristic of marble, they confirm the authentic nature of the product and cannot give grounds for disputes. To reduce these problems, they are treated with waterproofing products. These treatments, depending from the use and from the cleaning products, have a variable duration and therefore their effectiveness diminishes over time. It is, therefore, very important to renew these waterproofing treatments at least once a year, using specific products based on the type of marble (which can be purchased from specialised dealers) and carefully following the instructions on the package.

Shade differences, even marked, compared to the sample, small holes, grouting, more or less marked veins or stains are a characteristic of marble, they confirm the authentic nature of the product and cannot give grounds for disputes. Marbles, due to their microscopic natural porosity, tend to absorb liquids and therefore can absorb substances that could irreparably stain them (for example perfumes, cosmetics, glazes, fats, food residues or liquids for food use). To reduce these problems, they are treated with waterproofing products.
