Arrital Cucine obtains the prestigious ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications,
for Environmental Management and Occupational Health Safety

Arrital, a leading manufacturer of high-quality designer kitchens and part of the We.Do holding, is ushering in a new era of kitchen design that focuses on sustainability, remanufacturing and renewing the life cycle of all materials used.
The new ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications, in addition to the existing FSC certification, highlight the brand’s ongoing commitment to promoting environmental sustainability and occupational health and safety in its activities.

The We.Do holding, as part of its “We Love World” project, which includes specific multi-level training activities (We Share) and initiatives geared towards employee welfare and work-life balance (We Welfare), as well as organisational integration, plans to issue Arrital’s first Sustainability Report in 2025.

This milestone will be accomplished using an integrated reporting system in accordance with international ESG standards.

By obtaining ISO 14001 certification, Arrital proves that it has embarked on a path of responsible environmental resource management, optimising its use of natural resources, reducing its harmful emissions and managing its waste responsibly. Moreover, FSC certification ensures the wood used comes from sustainably managed forests. In this regard, Arrital continually evaluates and selects its suppliers in order that, before adhering to the Arrital supply chain, certain parameters are satisfied in order to guarantee the highest quality standards. ISO 45001 certification attests to Arrital’s emphasis on employee health and safety, ensuring a safe working environment and adopting preventive measures against accidents and injuries, promoting worker well-being.

These certifications reflect an ongoing commitment to five key points:

  1. Environmental responsibility: the Brand’s main Mission is to reduce its environmental impact and implement sustainable practices in the kitchen production cycle, aiming to minimise natural resource usage and harmful emissions and to manage the waste produced responsibly. One tangible example is the Nautila kitchen system, unique insofar as several of its parts can be taken apart, thus optimising the recycling potential of the materials. Together with the University of Padua, Arrital has begun planning the LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) of all of its products: that is, the analytical and systematic assessment of their environmental footprint throughout their entire life cycle.
  2. Protection of natural resources: ISO 14001 certification reflects a commitment to the efficient and sustainable management of natural resources, including the responsible use of water and energy and the promotion of renewable energy sources.
  3. Respect for the surrounding environment: FSC certification (which Arrital has held for some time) represents a commitment to preserving biodiversity and forest resources by using only sustainably sourced wood.
  4. Occupational health and safety: ISO 45001 certification attests to a focus on employee health and safety, the commitment to providing a safe work environment and the capacity to implement preventive measures to prevent accidents and promote well-being.
  5. Continuous improvement through a structured vision: obtaining these prestigious certifications is a long-term commitment. Arrital’s focus will involve ongoing monitoring with specific environmental performance and safety reports, identifying and implementing measures for continuous improvement according to international standards. Arrital views the company as an integrated system with targeted actions aimed at generating positive impacts in all areas, pursuing an increasingly sustainable and safe approach. The Derris Project is also ongoing and will enable a more structured and methodical risk assessment, which is critical for discovering, analysing and managing potential risks in different contexts such as occupational health and safety, environmental management and IT security. Risk monitoring will allow the timely implementation of preventive or corrective measures.
“We are entering a new and fundamental era of the kitchen, characterised by sustainability, remanufacturing and recycling of materials. All this with the aim of developing a new product life cycle. Our ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications, combined with our existing FSC and ISO 9001 certifications, are proof of Arrital’s commitment to promoting a sustainable environment, quality and workplace safety”, stated Silvia Quaglia, Chairwoman of the Arrital Board of Directors and ESG Manager of the We.Do. Group. “We are proud to have received international recognition for our responsible management practices and will continue to keep improving in order to help build a more sustainable future.”
